Reima Honkasalo’s new series of digital prints on canvas is entitled Piggish, so it follows that pigs are the focus of his work. But are they pigs or people? As Honkasalo puts it, “The series is dealing with the question of being a pig and looking like it, or just behaving like one without looking like it. Some people can even look like people but behave like pigs.” No wonder the work looks all too familiar.
