Spandex – Rocktapussy (A-Cup + Mother Hubbard), He Say, She Say @ Sonotheque 1/23

Spandexxx is a monthly dance party conceptualized by female DJ/electronic duo Rocktapussy (DJ Mother Hubbard and DJ A-Cup) while on their first tour of North America in mid 2008. As two female DJs on the road in an industry dominated by males, they envisioned a party in their hometown of Chicago that would celebrate women in music, art and fashion and bring some of the incredible female talent from around globe (DJs, live bands, artists and designers) to the Windy City for an intimate, up close and personal introduction. With the launch of Spandexxx in January 2009, Rocktapussy will realize that vision. As resident DJs and curators of the event, A-Cup and Mother Hubbard will put their unique stamp on each and every party, bringing top out of town and local talent to the table each month; and with well respected, female-centric national print publication Venus Magazine giving their stamp of approval as the official media sponsor, Spandexxx is surely a party that is not to be missed.
